Why BREATHE?
We are the real deal Pilates nerds
We are Pilates professionals with multiple certifications of at least 450 hours including NCPT Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher. A comprehensively trained teacher spends at least a year gathering this knowledge and learns ALL Pilates apparatus, not just Reformer or Mat.
Every Body is important
We are trained to work with special populations, post rehabilitation, as well as overall body conditioning.
Variety is the spice of life
Our Instructors are from varied backgrounds with slightly different styles but the common thread at BREATHE is that we will all keep you engaged and safe during your mind body practice.
Vibes
Our community is one that is supported, non competitive, and sharing.
Our smaller class sizes keep the focus on you, your form, and progression.

What is Pilates?
The creator of Pilates, Joseph Pilates said it best with “Contrology (Pilates) is complete coordination of body, mind, and spirit.” In Pilates you have a total body movement experience each time. The focus is on the control and precision of your movements and breath. Expect to feel parts on your body that you have never felt before. Expect to have more mobility and feel taller after class. Expect to see a difference in your posture and for others to comment on it as well. Expect Pilates to change your life. Pilates is an excellent form of exercise for seniors, enhancing strength, balance, and overall well-being.
What sets BREATHE PILATES Academy Teacher Training apart?
- Developed by a seasoned Pilates Instructor of over 17 years and a Pilates Instructor, Doctor of Physical Therapy and former university lecturer, with experience in sports, orthopedics, and pelvic health. Between the two of us we have vast knowledge, endless curiosity, and decades of experience to share and answer your questions.
- We are working professionals who not only love what we do but are ourselves Pilates nerds who continue on with our own education and practice.
- Our training is held almost exclusively in person in an intimate setting where you are encouraged and taught how to think critically, not what to think.
